Maria was called to the bar in 2005 and is a member of Lincoln’s Inn. Maria receives instructions across the full range of civil litigation and appears regularly in trials and applications in the County Court comprising credit hire disputes, contractual disputes, road traffic accidents and personal injury claims across all tracks, on both a Claimant and Defendant basis. Maria also has experience of dealing with Mental Health Tribunals, CRU Appeals, Inquests, CICA matters and disputes concerning costs. Prior to undertaking pupillage Maria was employed as an In-House Advocate for a large commercial law firm undertaking advocacy, and advisory work in the areas of credit hire, personal injury, general insurance law, criminal regulatory, and licensing work. As such, Maria is well placed to understand the needs and commercial realities of her clients. Maria completed her pupillage at 7 Bedford Row, and Ropewalk Chambers prior to joining Palmyra Chambers. On the criminal side, Maria has experience of undertaking trials in the Magistrate’s Court. |
